"Preform U-Turn as soon as possible." "Not going to happen little lady..." She muttered, looking at the flashing screen of the small GPS unit upon her dashboard. As the robotic female voice started again, her hand let go of the wheel and turned off the volume. She had been driving for four hours now, and the Big Gulp she purchased at her last stop was not sitting well. Nearly bouncing within the seat, the girl looked out the windsheild of her Rav4 as signs of civilazation soon became apparent. "Thank God.." She muttered, stepping on the gas as she quickly sped through the ever growing green that surrounded her. Seeing some small homes passing her, she knew a gas station or a corner store wasnt far ahead. And just her luck a small rundown looking station was on her right. Not even putting her blinker on, she pulled into the dirt way and parked her car quickly. Migrating through the sea of food wrappers and big gulp cups, Corliss grabbed her purse and made her way inside. A small little wood burn sing saying 'Welcome to Forks' hung above the door as she pushed it open, a tiny bell signaling her arrival inside the store. After a quick bathroom break the young woman gave a large yawn, reaching her arms above her head as she looked around herself. It was very green. She could say that much at least. And the air seemed thicker here, but with a sweet earthy scent. Having no desire to get back into her small death trap of a car anytime soon, she pulled her digital camera from her bag and made her way down the paved road. She always enjoyed documenting her trips and taking plenty of pictures. And even knowing most of these would just be well, green, the change to streach her legs and get some freash air was all too inviting to her. "First stop...the side of the road.." She mused with a grin.

Jasper had been walking slowly down the side of a road, a highway by the looks of it. Jasper did not remember how he got where he was or where he was going but he would figure it out soon enough. Jasper heard the sound of an engine approaching and quickly hid behind a large oak tree beside the road. He spotted a "Rav4" pass by and pull into a nearby building. Jasper's eyes narrowed as he smelled the scent of her blood as she got out of her vehicle and the wind picked up blowing towards him. The scent was difficult to describe it had a sweet smell like that of red rose. Jasper was a vegetarian vampire but he was new to this lifestyle. Besides that did not mean that he could not just "stop and smell the roses." did it?
Jasper walked toward the car and looked inside to find it a complete mess. Jasper's face recoiled in disbelief as he studied the mess and he heard the bell ring from the door as someone came out. Jasper quickly ducked behind the car and watched her. She was beautiful, and human. as the wind picked up again he caught the same rosy scent again and he realized it was her. His eyes widened as he followed her her scent increasing in aroma and stinging the insides of his nose. He shadowed her down the side of the road and he heard her voice. It was gentle, pleasant and smug. He sensed her emotions and though he could manipulate them he chose not to...yet

The road that stretched before her seemed barren of anything, except the litter that collected along side of her as she walked along. The rusted Route sign seemed to be barely hanging by a rusted nut and bold, looking as depressing and desolate as the area around it. Cocking her head to the side, the digital camera was out and a picture was taken. Black and white of course, why burden the world with fake color when there was so much live color to witness? Besides, it made her pictures look..artsy. The gray sky above her did little to improve her mood. The hours of driving caused a stitch within her back, and walking seemed to help slightly. But so far her trip here was pointless. Those in charge of the historical Society in La Push refused to return her e-mails, calls, or anything. Forks was the neighboring town, so she would say here till someone over there opened up. As the wind picked up again, she gave a obvious shiver, drawing her hands within the long sleeves of her black thermal top, paired with a annoyingly bright yellow tank top. Sure she looked like a bumblebee, but at least she wouldn't get shot by a hunter. Digging her converse sneakers into place, she turned, clicking her camera ever so often to take pictures within the woods all around her. She had never seen such green before. Lowering the camera, she glanced to the large display screen and scrolled through the photo s's, chewing her lower lip. One image caused her to pause and then glance up around herself. The soft clicking of the zoom button seemed to echo in the silence, swearing she saw a ghostly figure caught within her lense.

Jasper's eyes flinched and he recovered from his temporary blindness safe behind a tall pine. After a moment he peeked around the side of the tree and noticed she was flipping through the pictures as he heard a zooming sound and watched her puzzled as she looked right at him without even noticing and surveyed her surroundings. A sly smile crept into his lips showing his bright white teeth and he let out a mute chuckle too quiet for her to notice. He thought to himself that he must have been caught on the camera and without worry on his face he began to calm her mind and put her at ease. Influencing her to shrug it off as just her mind playing tricks on her. Ironicly it was now that Jasper was in it.
After plying his mind game with ths strange human girl he returned behind the tall pine keeping a very close eye on her movements and making sure she got into forks safely. He knew that danger could strike out here and she was not truly safe until she was in forks. He would follow her until she was out of danger. He sensed another vampire coming, whether or not this one was wild or a veggie he did not know. The scent of her blood wdrove Jasper to the edge but he resisted but to a wild vampire, maybe a newborn, would attack her on sight. He shadowed her.

Corliss paused for a moment, wondering just why the strange image in her picture caused her fear. Didn't she had nearly ten SD cards filled with pictures of graveyards? Claiming that within some where images of ghosts? Wondering just why that image gave her the shivers, she tucked her camera away before glancing over her shoulder to the gas station still within her sights. Time had no effect upon her, seeing she was running on pure caffeine from the drive, and the sky gave her no hint to it as well. Check in at the small bed and breakfast she was staying at wasn't until 4pm, and she knew for certain that she had a few more hours till then. She couldn't get too lost on a straight road, so she tucked her hands within her pockets and kept walking. It felt good to be out of the stuffy little car, and out within the open. Being on the opposite side of the good Ol USA, she noticed the smallest changes in the area. Instead of the thick bramble and bracken that choked the forests in RI, here it seemed to be a endless amount of thick green moss. It coated everything, like a blanket of snow. Biting her lower lip, she stepped over the small gully filled with litter and went to the rock wall. Pressing her hands into the sponge growth, Corliss picked herself up and over the old stone barrier and thrusted herself within the thick of the woods. Part of her felt as if she had gone back within time, if it wasn't for the reminder of the paved road behind her. "This place...wow.." Corliss mummered quietly to herself, looking up into the tall trees in awe. As the wind picked up again, she listened to the soft moans of the wood, her short chestnut locks flirting with the breeze.

Jasper stayed hidden always about 3-4 moss covered trees from her. He kept his eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared as the wind got stronger and blew her scent like a hurricane into his lungs. He inhaled deeply as the intoxicating scent caused him to gasp loudly as he struggled for control over his thirst. It had been weeks since Jasper went hunting for animal blood. His eyes were and black as night as the thirst grew with the scent of this human female, alone in the woods, no one around for miles. The temptation climbed till it was too much. He stepped out from behind a tree in front of her. e was wearing a white v-neck and white over shirt with blue jeans and hiking boots. His hair was dirty blonde and blew slightly in the wind. His eyes narrowed as he locked his eyes on her.
There he was a vampire, alone with a human. Was this it? Would Jasper really go back on his pledge of being a veggie vampire? What would Carlisle say? What about Esme, Edward, Emmet, Rosalie and more importantly...Alice? Would Alice lose her love for him if he lost control this once? Soon all that filled his mind was the thirst. He was about to take this women's life to sate his hunger..."Hello..." Jasper said with a smile that showed hhis white teeth and his voice showed desperation.

Her peaceful moment within the woods was shattered with the simplest of words. "Hello..." A chill ran upon her spine as her head jerked up, forgetting about the placement of her feet upon the moss for now to find the source. Strange how she didn't notice him before, in pure white one would think he'd stick out like a sore thumb. Balancing herself by holding onto a thin Birch tree, the girl flashed him a small smile. "Hi..." Her voice was less then convincing, seeing it wasn't often you just met a person randomly while tromping through the woods like a idiot. "If..this is your land or something I can get off it...I'm just..sight seeing I guess.." her voice was muted slightly, her large blue eyes taking in his figure before tearing away, trying to navigate a path back to the road. Her hands were already stained with the green from the moss, the jade forest seeming to grow thicker around her even as she just stood there, looking to the stranger. Her head cocked slightly, tounge running over her dry lips as she watched him.

Jasper let out a chuckle at her words of retreat. He began to slowly walk towards her, hands behind his back, eyes focused on her, and a smile creeping up into his lips. "No, this is not my property...If I may ask...Whats a pretty girl like yourself doing all alone inside dense forest such as this?" his thirst was strong but he was biding his time. He did not wish to harm this girl but his thirst was winning again. Jasper's smile was smug as he begun to control his thirst. He had to feed soon otherwise this young girl would become his victim. Doing so would break the treaty with the people of La Push and start a war with them. he did not wish to expose his family and put them in danger.
Jasper stood about 10ft from the girl watching her every movement waiting for her response. She seemed to be in some kind of shock maybe out of fear. Perhaps it was his physical features as he only looked like he was in his late teens.

"One could ask you the same thing. I don't see a golf course around..." Corliss commented back, her eyes taking in his clothing and manners. "I'm a out of towner, I've just been driving for hours and I wanted to stretch my legs...and instead of walking on the side of the road asking to be roadkill I figured I'd have a little walk in the woods." Her reply was honest as she still stared at him. It was strange, she could take her eyes away. The weather seemed to be upon his side however, the over casted sky, with thick clouds rolling faster and faster overhead. Every now and then the small sting of a raindrop would strike across her cheek. The wind didn't wish to blow in just one direction, instead it pulled and tore wherever it desired. Being just a human, Corliss wrapped her arms around herself as the strong breeze pulled her hair, veiling her features as she stood. She wasn't breathtaking by any means. A common girl with common flaws. Small pox marks marred her skin from a childhood sickness, large freckles stood out upon her brow and one just at her nose. She was still lengthy for her age, wondering if she would ever grow into her limbs. With a deep breath she allowed herself to lean against the white tree, her head tilted as she kept drinking him in.

Jasper could not help but laugh at her first comment. "You need not worry about my safety miss...A walk in the woods? He said as he looked around spotting no one." Thats not the best thing to be doing around here miss...people tend to go missing, especially in this part of the woods." A wicked smile jumped into his lips and his eyes returned to hers. He noticed her constant staring, but he took no offense to it as he knew his skin was flawless and it baffled most humans. Humans were very shallow in that way they judged by physical features and most only even talked to good looking humans. His eyes still black as the night sky, his thirst as the wind picked up once more and her scent once again flew into his lungs and his nostrils flared and his eyes widened and he took a deep breath.
Jasper had won over his thirst but he was still fairly new to this life, that is the life of surviving on animal blood and not human blood, and still from time to time it would become a little overwhelming. Jasper new better though he would never attack a human to sate his thirst. Jasper surveyed his surroundings as he sensed another was watching, a vampire likely as it's scent was not human. He knew that the smell of her blood would call many vampires to her, especially with all this wind blowing. "You should cover up more miss...It's pretty could out here...don't you think? He was trying to get her to cover her scent the best she could with out giving himself away. She smelt absolutely delectable.

"Well I didn't really dress for a hike no...I just wanted to look around. I've never seen woods like these before. Its amazing. A few more feet and I would have a hard time telling where the road is...I've never been in woods like this before..back home its filled the bracken that would slice you into ribbions..." Her blue eyes tore away from him, looking up into the canopy of the trees. They moaned and swayed with the wind, speaking a old language long forgotten. "I'm Corliss..so you can stop the miss stuff..." She offered her name, seeing it would only be polite too in the current situation. How often did a stranger go walking in the woods? Almost never, unless they were a phyco killer. Slowly her eyes drifted back to him as a faint smile crossed over her chapped lips. She had a hard time taking her eyes away. It wasn't because she envied his looks, in fact he looked rather distraught at the moment. It was just his whole appearance. The white crisp garments, the pale smooth skin. If she didn't know better she would have thought she stepped out onto a movie set and was looking at one of the actors. It was amazing what make-up did. The wind was picking up, a tell tale sign back home that it would start to rain soon, but seeing she was far from home as possible, it could have been different. Her scent was sweet like baby roses, traced with a rich honey toffee and a subtle hint of clove. Earthy and natural. If it was a perfume or her natural scent, she wouldn't really know. Not one for glamored as made obvious by her clothes and general upkeep, it could be assumed that it was her 'natural' scent. "It is kinda cold. I should..get back to my car. Sorry if I..interupted..anything or.." She waved her hands around her, gesturing to the nothingness with a faint smirk.

As she looked away from him back at the wooded forest towards the road he vanished into thin air and a whisper fell upon the scene. "My name is Jasper... His voice faded and he was gone. He hid nearby where she stood. Jasper intended to follow her until she found a safe place to rest. Jasper's mind then returned to his lovely wife Alice Cullen. He imagined Alice there with him, her beautiful smile, and drop dead gorgeous face and figure there in front of him. He smiled as he thought of how she had changed his life for the good. They first met in a cafe on the side of a highway, where she was sitting gracefully atop the counter smiling at the doorway as he walked in. His eyes were set on her. She was the single most beautiful women he had ever seen. He was in love at that moment she spoke to him, " I thought you were never going to show up." she said in a soft, and gentle voice that ensnared him. He stayed close behind Corliss.

"Jasper...?" Corliss mimicked, but then as soon as she looked back he was gone. She felt her breath catch within her throat, and the chill return down her spine. Something wasn't right. Men dressed in pure white didn't just appear and vanish like that. Her bottom lip pressed between her teeth, chewing as she tucked her hand behind her ear. Rather then trying to figure out just what it was, she played it safe for now. She was tired, the drive taking allot out of her. Maybe her mind was just playing tricks. Navigating her way back through the woods, she came to the stone wall, moving over it and back to the road side. Her large blue eyes moved over her shoulder, watching around her as the camera slipped from her pocket and within her hand. Again she started to take pictures, if anything to simply distract herself from what just happened. "Just who the hell are you...?" Corliss muttered, looking down at the display screen, the blurred image of Jasper caught within the frame. His white clothes seemed out of place, and he seemed to be nothing more then a haunting image. If this was her first encounter in this small town, she only could wonder what the hell was going to happen later in her two week stay.

))Need to write more. Bored XD((
As her blue eyes stared intently upon the small screen, staring at the image of 'Jasper', the man in white she was interrupted as a few flecks of water hit against the screen. Tearing her eyes away, she looked upward just as the over casted sky opened, cold water pouring down upon her as she winced. The camera was tucked away quickly within her small bag, holding it close as she slipped and fumbled her way to the already wet paved road. Perfect. Not only now was she confused and somewhat off edge, but she was wet. Not with a warm soft rain, but a bitter cold one, each drop cutting into her skin like a knife. So far Forks had been interesting. Knowing running wouldn't do much to keep her from the wet, and she would probably slip and break something, she contused at a slow paced walk to her small car, seeming further then it did before. Her scent died with the rain, washed out as her chestnut locks clung tightly to her scalp and neck. The water dripping from her nose was an annoyance, chilling her through the layers that she wore. Knowing that before she had a hard time finding anything, the rain would only make it more difficult to find the bed and breakfast she was suppose to stay at. The dim yellow lights of the small gas station did little to help her with her car, fumbling with her soaked pockets for a moment, her eyes widened in horror as she looked inside of her car, to see the keys happily dangling from the engine, her doors securely locked. "OHhhhh Frick...." She mum mered, pressing her head against the driver side window with a small moan. Hopefully the old man at the gas station was a Mcguyver of some sorts and could get her keys out. Apparently however, in small towns it was custom for things to close at six. Drenched, cold, and now locked from her wallet, cell phone, and the security of her car, Corliss just stood out in the rain, possibly waiting to be struck by lightening at any moment with the rate her luck was going. "Frick frick frick...."

Jasper had been following close by Corliss since he left her sight. He laughed quietly to himself as she started to get upset. She seemed to have locked her keys inside the car. It was raining now and so her scent was no longer a problem. Jasper walked out once again from the woods onto the street about 10 yards from her and her car. Jasper smiled and shouted calmly,"Having car trouble miss? Jasper had a smug smile on his face. He started toward her car walking through the rain. The rain seemed to drop around him not on him, but it simply fell around him.
